LCGS Lending Library - Members Only

The LCGS Executive Board has decided to make our collection of compact disks (CDs) available for members to borrow for use at home on a lending library basis.  Here is how it will work.

You can view and print the CD List which provides a complete listing of the CDs available. The list also shows the date new CDs are added to the collection.

Look through the list and note the LCGS Index No. of the CD (or CDs) in which you have an interest.

At the next meeting of the Society, come to the table where Lending Librarian Neil Smith is seated and tell him the LCGS Index No. of the CDs that you want to borrow.  He will give you a card with space for you to print your name, e-mail address and telephone number while he digs out the CDs.

In order to use the Family Tree Maker CDs which have a LCGS Index No. with an “F” you must be using the program Family Tree Maker.  In the program and with the CD in the drive, go to “View” on the menu bar and select “FamilyFinder” on the drop down menu then select “View CD” from the additional choices that become available.

When you have finished using a CD, bring it to the next meeting and return it to Neil.  That is all that there is to using this resource.

We invite you to take advantage of this valuable resource for all LCGS members. We would also be happy to accept CDs you would like to donate to our LCGS Lending Library.
