In 2007, the Society joined in partnership with The
News-Press and their Newspaper In
Education (NIE) program.
Our sponsorship dollars helped to place 2,000 copies of The News-Press
in area schools. Our sponsorship was recognized throughout the year
as a sponsor on the EdVenture page, Southwest Florida's student newspaper.
In October the Society designed an activity section for the EdVenture
page in connection with Family HIstory Month to bring genealogy awareness
