Bonita Springs Genealogy Club Monthly Meeting
10:00 am Bonita Springs Public Library, 26876 Pine Avenue, Bonita Springs, FL.
"The 100-plus members (and families) of the Howes Family Association are seeking "misplaced" relatives and relative wannabees for the August 13-15 reunion to be held in the Witch City of Salem, where it all began. My husband is a 10th general Howes.
Some history: thomas and Mary (Burr) Howes with their three sons arrived in Salem in 1637, settled in the East Precinct of Yarmouth (now Dennis) in 1639, and can be found on Cape Code to this day, even though many migrated to other parts of the world.
Displays and reports scheduled for the reunion include Howes DNA study; Howes Great London Circus; Howes Sea Captains; Howes Cranberry Industry; Howes Brothers Smoke Glass Photography; the Howes 2006 published genealogy; Surname: Howes, Howe, Hows Web registry; upkeep of Howes cemeteries, etc.
Anyone related directly or indirectly to this family is invited to attend and participate. For registration and information, persons may contact Susan Ashton, m1beads6@aol.com, or in Dennis, Nancy Howes, 508-385-3528. Thank you."
If you are a descendant of John LONDON of Burlington County, NJ, who died in 1778, or, especially if you are a descendant of his great grandson, Edward C. LONDON, of Jefferson County, PA, 1818-1870 you are invited to join us.
At least three of Edward C. LONDON's 12 sons had descendants who moved to Florida in the early 1900's. The known three are James K. LONDON, Thomas Jefferson LONDON and Webster A. LONDON, there may have been others.
